MY STORY
I work with the Dr.Hauschka products and treatment because it resonated with me from my very first encounter. I have found no equal to either product or treatment in the skin care world. I am continually learning and experiencing positive results in my practice because of the depth of research, philosophy and healthcare behind both the product and the treatment. Dr. Hauschka skin care is based on a unique and specific picture of the organization of the human being so the results are often about the skin AND the well-being of the whole person. I have observed that the treatment and products work to balance the processes and functions of the whole human being.
I have been a Dr.Hauschka Esthetician for over 30 years and a Dr. Hauschka esthetics trainer for 20 of those years. I have served on the International Board of Trainers (which oversees the training programs in 33 countries) as the US representative, reviewing and standardizing the Dr. Hauschka Treatment protocols and movements. My first training in Germany in 1984 left me with a true appreciation that "everything matters" and what you put into something determines what you are able to get out of it. These revelations have informed my carreer as an esthetician as well as my own personal life.
My husband and I owned Anemone, a successful full service salon in Napa Valley, California, for 25 years. Here, I established a thriving practice using the Dr.Hauschka method and products exclusively. My interests in skin and body care have led me to studies in aromatherapy, Chinese medicine, cranial sacral massage and Breema bodywork as well as a deepening understanding of Biodynamics and Anthroposophy. As my family explored other areas and educational pursuits, I opened AwareCare, a skin care salon, in Fair Oaks in 2003. I continue that business now in my home studio in Yountville.
In addition to work in esthetics, I have been active in local Town government (serving on the Yountville Town Council and Zoning & Design Review Board), and in the support and creation of Waldorf educational opportunities in several communities in California and Washington State (Napa, Pt. Townsend, Fair Oaks, Colfax, Meadow Vista).
I continue to be inspired by my clients and my work with holistic skin care.
